My Marathon Diary

Other than raising funds to find the cure for blood related cancers, what is my motivation for running a marathon? Is it to accomplish that life-long dream of completing a marathon? Or maybe, it is the pressure of dating someone who is training for her third marathon? I can't really tell you why exactly I'm training for this marathon.....but, I can tell you how I'm doing it.

18 miler!

With both Peninsula and South Bay Run Teams attending, this regional run was the hardest training run of the season with the course touring them through beautiful and hilly Huddart and Edgewood Parks. It was an absolutely gorgeous day, which definitely made the run a whole lot better!
Later on both South Bay and Peninsula Teams got together at Woodside Elementary School for our famous Honoree potluck. It was a great way to get better acquainted with my team members and with our honorees. Who wants to be social after running 18 miles?.....you might ask. Well, we surely do! The turnout was amazing and the assortment of food was to die for. Some people say that they can't really eat after a long run....funny how I never seem to have that problem!
